About me
I realise my four pillars of interest through these roles: Technical Program Manager, Tech Evangelist, Founder of Prayogshaala, Diversity and Inclusion Advocate
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Researched and built strategies for diversity, equity and inclusion for women in technology in India. Developed my network with various women in tech communities, D&I champions and organisations supporting women in tech in India. As Verna Meyers says, "Diversity is being invited to the party. Inclusion is being asked to dance."
Data Science and Machine Learning
Received the 'Women in AI Leadership' Award by Analytics India Magazine in 2020 and completed the 'GE Analytics Engineer Certification' in 2016. Interested in hackathon participation and various certifications in topics of interest. As W. Edwards Deming says, "Without data, you're just another person with an opinion."
Leadership
Recognised with the 'Lead Like A Girl 2020' fellowship. I have been managing projects, programs and
people. My strength lies in
adding some method to the madness and practicing empathetic leadership. A certified #IAmRemarkable
facilitator. As Peter Drucker says, "Management is
doing things right; Leadership is doing the right things."
Community Building
Involved with various tech communities in India for over a decade now with about five years of
experience
in building, nurturing and scaling communities. I have received a lot from communities and am striving
to find ways to pay it forward. As Helen Keller says, "Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do
so much!".

India’s Women In Tech: 2017 Learnings
Taking up the role to manage the Women Techmakers program and the learning that came with it!
Lakshya is an amazing leader.
Her leadership style is by doing.
She passes on credit
when
the team wins and owns up the
brickbats when something fails.
Doing a task ourselves is often
easier than getting it
done by a big
team, but her patience, planning,
execution, comradeship, and
ownership of the task
at hand are perfect.
I'm reminded of the analogy
of a garland of flowers,
the thread doesn't show at all,
but it is what pulls all the
flowers together.
Her passion for women in tech,
helping them fight bias is incredible.
Mark my words,
she's a
great leader in the making.
Lakshya is a modest,
lively and soft spoken
student. She respects her
peers and
professors alike
and is well mannered.
She has been an outstanding
student as well as consistent
in her determination to
improve
her skills and knowledge.
She is a well-rounded
person being excellent in both
academic and
extra-curricular
activities.
She is an
excellent team player,
offers help to others and
always open to have a
discussion.
Her ability to collaborate
with her teammates have
been remarkable.
It was an honor for
me to work with you on
the SDLP project. Your
insights on
existing solution
really saved us a lot of time.
Your effort in arranging KT
sessions with members
of other teams was fabulous.
Your positive attitude towards
taking up
challenges and
delivering before time was
the most notable thing.
Your efforts
to precisely complete
the Documentation
must not pass
unappreciated. Wishing you best
for future and really looking
forward to work with you again.
Lakshya was a diligent student
and perspicacious too.
She was an all-rounder and
participated in all
the extra-curricular activities
with sheer interest.
As a leader, she was
highly
cooperative and apt at
delegating tasks to the
team members in school projects.
She is a fluent orator and
grasps new concepts easily.
I worked with Lakshya in IIITB.
We were in the same team in a technical
project and in
Student Activity Center,
which was a leadership
team responsible for handling
student activities in the
university.
Lakshya is a natural
leader,
she leads by example.
In multiple instances,
she had silently supported
the team
in the background and
proved to be the backbone of the team.
She puts her best efforts as a
team member. She
maintains friendly
relationship with the team
and keeps the meetings upbeat with
optimism and cheer.
Technically,
she is a
detail oriented person,
who takes great care in ensuring
that the developed software
conforms
to the given
requirement.
She is a quick learner
and is a person who is willing to
work hard
without complaining.
She can communicate effectively
and her strength is her people skills.
She could
connect with so many
people in the university
including peers, juniors, sub-juniors
and seniors. I would
highly
recommend her
for a
technical or managerial role
as she is good at both.
